An International Campus

MSU is committed to a higher-quality and more engaged intercultural experience for our students, faculty and campus visitors. In ISP our goal is to strengthen and broaden international and multi-cultural experiences for the entire MSU community. MSU's 25 international institutes, centers and units collaborate with offices across campus to help align the university's liberal learning outcomes, living and learning communities and global competencies to produce global-ready graduates and citizens.

Facts and Stats

  • Over 275 study abroad programs in more than 60 countries on all continents
  • More than 30 MSU programs offer service-learning, community engagement and opportunities for research abroad
  • 26 percent of graduating seniors at MSU have participated in at least one study abroad experience
  • Over 40% of MSU students who study abroad visit nontraditional locations, including Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East
  • MSU had led the nation in study abroad participation for nearly a decade
  • International students represent more than 130 nations
  • MSU ranks No. 9 for international student enrollment
