Title VI Funding Facts

  • Types of funding (http://www.ed.gov/about/offices/list/ope/iegps/index.html): There are 14 different international education programs funded through the U.S. Department of Education. International centers at Michigan State University are currently funded through Title VI of the Higher Education Act. The following programs receive Title VI funding: language area centers, or National Resource Centers (NRCs), Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellowships (FLAS), Centers for International Business Education (CIBEs), and Language Resource Centers (LRCs).
